About Josh Haver

Josh Haver is a lifelong Boise resident who proudly served in the United States Navy before returning home to build his life and raise his family in a community he is deeply committed to.

Today, Josh and his wife are raising their young family in the Treasure Valley. Like many families in District 22, they care deeply about safe neighborhoods, strong schools, responsible government, and protecting the Idaho way of life.

Josh has spent much of his career working on issues that affect Idaho’s critical infrastructure and public services, focusing on cybersecurity, infrastructure resilience, and public policy.

He holds graduate degrees in Public Administration and Technology Management from Idaho universities and believes strongly in preparing and educating the next generation to strengthen Idaho’s future.

Josh believes leadership starts with listening. He is committed to working with the community, understanding the challenges families and local businesses face, and finding practical solutions that help Idaho communities thrive.

Strengthening Idaho Communities

  • Idaho families balance their budgets every day, and state government should do the same. Responsible budgeting means prioritizing essential services, avoiding unnecessary spending, and making sure taxpayer dollars are used effectively. Idaho must maintain a balanced budget while protecting the long-term financial stability of the state and keeping government focused on its core responsibilities.

  • Government should operate efficiently, transparently, and with clear accountability to the people it serves. Idahoans deserve a government that focuses on results, eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy, and uses modern tools and oversight to improve services. Effective government builds trust and ensures taxpayer resources are used responsibly.

  • Transparency is essential for public trust. Idahoans should be able to see how decisions are made, how tax dollars are spent, and how government agencies operate. Open communication, clear reporting, and strong accountability ensure government remains responsive to the people it serves.

  • Strong families are the foundation of strong communities. Parents should have a meaningful voice in their children’s education, with transparency in curriculum and policies that respect the role families play in guiding their children’s learning and values.

At the same time, many Idaho seniors and veterans face growing pressure from property taxes, especially those living on fixed incomes. Idaho should continue exploring responsible ways to reduce that burden so long-time residents and those who served our country can remain in their homes and communities.

Supporting families means strengthening education, protecting parental involvement, and ensuring that seniors and veterans are treated with the respect they have earned.
